Tips For An Enjoyable Flight
Posted at Oct 2nd, 2009 in Travel Tips
I was a soldier stationed in Germany and I know how it feels when you are having long and uncomfortable flights. They are unbearable! However, after many years of experience, I have come up with a number of golden tips that allow you to enjoy long flights. It is no longer a nightmare! Let’s take a look now!
1. Bring a travel pillow with you. These pillows are for long trips only. They provide you a comfortable area to rest you head, which is difficult to find without these pillows.
2. Motion sickness will cause nausea which you will feel really uncomfortable during your flight. To reduce the possibility of having this sickness, I would recommend you to take some Dramamine before you depart. As usual, you have to consult your doctor for the amount you have to take.
3. Wearing loose non-restrictive clothing can make you feel more comfortable. And remember to bring something extra long to cover up with, as it will be cold for an aircraft at a high elevation.
4. You can bring along some snacks and extra cash for emergency purpose. You may need something suddenly and the flight attendant just may have what you are looking for.
5. You should put your personal hygiene items in your hand-carry bag. You may sweat or get bad breath anytime. Toothpaste, deodorant and baby powder are some useful items.
6. You may consider bringing your portable DVD player or laptop with you. You can watch movies, play games and do your work. Sometimes, the monitor on the plane is too far away and the movies that are showing may not be your appetite.
7. Take some extra cash with you if you are a drinker. Drinking your favorite liquor can help you sleep better. You could pay for a shot of alcohol with only a few dollars on most long flights.
