When you are looking to rent holiday villas in Sardinia, you will soon discover that you have various areas of the island to choose from. But which part of this beautiful island you select for your next holiday will depend on your budget and when you are looking to rent the villa.
The summer months on Sardinia are especially busy and the month of August is the one month when you may find getting the right sort of villa for your holiday will be difficult. This is because this is the month when many Italians especially those who reside in Rome will take their annual summer holiday and come and spend time on the island in order to relax and unwind.
However, you also need to be aware that in many cases you may find that rental prices increase quite considerably during the summer period (June to September). So again if you can avoid trying to take your vacation during this period if at all possible. But if not then rather than going to the main tourist areas of the region head farther away instead.
Places like Costa Smeralda, Porto Cervo and Porto Rotondo are ones where villa rental costs are extremely high. This is because they are places where the rich and famous like to spend time relaxing and enjoying the warm summer sun of the region.
One place that you may well want to consider renting a villa in is the Sardinian capital, Cagliari. Not only does it have a large number of different villas to choose from but it will also suit any kind of holiday budget as well. Plus the other benefit of renting a villa here is that you are centrally located and so able to explore and visit other parts of the island easily. Plus you may find a location that you like for your next holiday and a quick search online you may discover that there are villas to rent there as well.
However, if your budget is somewhat limited but you still what a little nightlife as well then why not consider renting a villa in Port of Alghero. Although not as busy as the places previously mentioned it is one of the most important tourist places on Sardinia’s northwest coast today.
But the nightlife that Port Alghero offers is not the same as you would find in Costa Smeralda but it does have the added benefit of some beautiful beaches as well. However, if you would like to learn a little bit about the island’s history then why not take a stroll around the streets of the old village up away from where all the bars, restaurants and hotels are.
When trying to find the ideal villa to rent in Sardinia the best place to start your search is by going online. There are numerous companies along with villa owners who advertise such properties to rent. But it is important before you make that all-important booking you spend time comparing what each villa has to offer. Also, do not just book any holiday villas in Sardinia just because you like the look of them.
