In fairs and festivals, you can be sure there are always an abundance of activities. Themes are also of great variety, from the traditional carnival types, to the sometimes weird medieval getup festivals. But whatever the theme, there is always on common denominator that makes these fairs similar to one another: They always come with craft shows.

All people enjoy seeing amazing pieces of arts and craft once in a while, but buying one of your own is a bit better, even. And there’s no better place to shop around for nifty finds than in the different festivals and fairs held around Michigan. If you’re looking for something like an intricately carved piece of wood, or even a gorgeously embroidered piece of cloth to put in your home, you’re sure to find these items at the fairs.

If you are interested to start up a small business selling crafts, then it’s a good idea to be just as diverse as these groups.

For example, you could be attending a Latino festival in one month, and then go straight to a Vietnamese themed on the next. You’ll learn to plan ahead when you do this. If you have acquired handcrafted items, planning may be as early as a few months before the event. Your crafts should be in line with the fair, after all. But the question is, how will you be able to prepare early if you do not know the details of the event in question?
