Exploring several methods to obtain cheap airfare should be at the top of the list of anyone planning a trip for the summer or anytime of the year. You must however admit one thing about cheap airfare and it’s the menace known as cheap airfare as embodied by constant overbooking of flight seats and which is now accepted as the norm.
Don’t sulk about the situation; you should instead think about how to profit from it because it’s possible to get a discounted airfare from it. Just follow this simple step: call the travel agent or airline one clear day before you depart and make inquiries about the flight, this way you will know if it’s overbooked.

The tropical paradise of Maui offers something special for every visitor, but the outstanding offerings particularly well-suited to families surprises many.
Most resorts on Maui provide programs for young guests including planned beach activities. The Westin Maui at Kaanapali Beach Resort is particularly popular with families thanks to the tropical foliage, waterfalls and parrots. The aquatic playground featuring a 128-foot slide makes childhood fantasies come true. Maui hotels and resorts are about much more than a room and a beach and many include special touches to encourage family visitors.
Children love to explore the natural beauty of Maui. A trip to Haleakala National Park is a must-do for families. The diversity of ecosystems and the exposure to so many new and different tropical species is a learning experience not to be missed. While watching the sunrise from Haleakala is popular with Maui visitors, it is not generally well suited to younger children because of the early start time and amount of waiting time involved.

The magic of Maui may be in the seamless blending of opposites. Mountain summits slope to the ocean and volcanic rock formations give way to lush green forests. This magical blending of Maui is most evident in the harbor village of Lahaina.
In 1843, Hawaiian King Kamehameha the Great declared Lahaina, Maui the capital of the kingdom. Lahaina was once known as the whaling capital of the world. The waning whale industry and the move of the capital from Maui to Oahu caused the local economy to become dependent first on agriculture and later on tourism.
Lahaina offers visitors to Maui a unique glimpse into the past while enjoying what Maui has to offer today. Visitors are enticed to walk, shop, eat and enjoy. Spending the day in Lahaina is a must-do on any visit to Maui.
